New firmware?

Well, I see nothing about this on the Nikon website. So I can't say if what you read is true or not. But I suspect this update might be just to give cameras data to the new released lenses (18-300, 24-85). But again, I don't know for sure.

I have to cover an event tomorrow and I don't want to take any chances with this one. I'll wait until Sunday to download it.

I installed the new firmware without any problem.The "L" number was renewed to 1.006.I have a 18-105 DX kit lens, but have not time yet to try if there is any change in barrel distortion.

I'm not seeing a new firmware update. The 1.03 was released in Nov, 2011.
D7000 firmware: A: 1.0.2 / B:1.03 upgrade

I am very often reproduce my wife's painting.
I made this one with the 18-105 kit DX lens, with Automatic Distortion Controll=on, Zoom at 35 mm .
I think it is a good result from this lens. Without ADC would be terrible.
