This was an interesting idea. It would take the right photo and the right place to display for it to work but I think the end product might just be worth the effort

That is an interesting concept. I have seen images done this way on dashboards they clear coat it, apply the image on paper or whatever to the substrate, and then clear coat over that a few times. This would be a good project to make some Christmas gifts out of. I wonder what kind of quality you could get out of the laser printer?
