Formatting card

Is there a backdoor to formatting card.

I have the D3200 and I am getting tis start-up error - DAMGED card, use another.. I can't format it either because I am at work. Any other way?

You should always format your memory card(s) in the camera that you will use them in. You might want to make sure that the card isn't locked.

now if it had been a Sandisk you could have gone to the site www.lc-tech.com/rescuepro and downloaded software to interogate the card and see what its prolem is and get any photos off ....this is why for serious work I always use a camera with two chips
