which zoom lens is better?

I have the 55-200 and the 55-300. Both lenses give a good bang for the buck.

I had a very similar dilemma between the 55-200, 55-300 & 70-300.
Did a LOT of reading around and realized it mainly depends on your needs & of course your budget.
i finally decided to go in for the 70-300 & it is really quite awesome, i feel i made the right choice.
of course, the 18-200 is more expensive & has a lower f stop of 3.5 which obviously means better photos in lower light.
if you can afford that, then i guess that would be the best.
otherwise the next best choice is the 70-300 me thinks

my dilemma is that dose 70-300mm will work well with the DX body as that a FX Lens. !8-200mm has the sharpness issue at higher zoom. again as i have a 18-55mm as kit is it worth to get a 18-200mm. coz if i do with others like 55-200mm or 70-300mm then i can also get a 85mm Macro lens for me with the budget of 18-200mm, plz suggest me get a 18-200mm is worth as killing single gun for every day normal use.

is that Nikkor AS-F FX 70-300mm how is the macro performance of it

Correct. Since 70-300 is a FX lens, on a DX body you'll be using the best part of the optics.
Which means it will work very well.
The Nikon 18-200 is an awesome lens, you gain 2 f stops which will make it good even in low light conditions.
and you got it right, barring the costs (and your specific needs)the Nikon 18-200 would be choice 1 & 70-300 choice 2.

Once again, don't overlap your lenses. You already have the 18-55; therefore, go for something like the 55-200. But no need for another lens that gives you the same 18-55 focal length as your kit lens. I have the 55-200 VR and it is the best lens you will ever get for the price.
Sorry new here,Sigma DG 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 I'm sure the Nikkor is far superior to the Sigma,except the price. The Macro works fine.
Sigma has many good reviews on the lens on line.Hope this helps.
