D7000 and SB-700 usage

Hi,

i have just got an SB-700 to go with my D700 and want to use it as a remote flash for portraits.

When I Put it on top of the camera it automatically shows DX and the zoom setting on the lens. When I detach it to use it as remote it seems this information is not transmitted between the camera and the flash. SB-700 is set correctly to remote btw.

Any clues? Am I missing something?

You have to go into your camera and change your settings, under Custom Settings, then under Bracketing/Flash.

I did that, setting command mode, the flash fires OK but it doesn't show the data.
