Today we added an option to allow you to remove the Pinterest icon from your posts. Simple go here: http://nikonites.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
scroll down to "Pinterest" and select "No" if you wish to remove the icon.

You can check to see if you work has been shared on Pinterest via Nikonites here: Nikonites / Pinterest

Keep in mind that anything shared on Pinterest via Nikonites automatically links back to your original post on Nikonites from Pinterest. If someone were to manually pin your picture from Nikonites, the link to the source will probably not be maintained.

Further discussion on this here: http://nikonites.com/photography-business/6028-pinterest-copyright.html

The 'PinIt' button implies an invitation to share it. That is why I asked the question when I first joined. I don't think it is as likely to be pinned if the button is gone but as long as the copy option is there, anyone can save it. Pinterest

Laura, I somehow missed that post and apologize for not responding to it then. I believe that is something that they're (Pinterest) looking at using in there terms (according to some online posts) -- only sites with the pin it button can be pinned. And you are absolutely right that having the button there is "implied permission."
