Guess who got a new telephoto lens today!

I got the Nikkor 55-300mm. I actually do have a good Bausch & Lomb tri-pod but I did not use it. The bird would have been clearer if I had. I just headed out the door too anxious to snap some pictures. I will be spending a lot of time in deer blinds and I think I will get some good pictures then.

Laura,

Congrats for new tele lens you get. With the speed of 1/1000th of second, you didn't need a tripod for this shot. What you needed was to get closer to the blue bird. 45 yards away from the bird makes you to crop to much hence image is not clear as you wanted.

Congrats Laura. Now I'm jealous of you too.

I've been wanting some long glass for quite a while. Now I'm just waiting to see what Nikon will release this summer.
