Looks like a nice lens. Ya notice it's hooked up to a D200, eh? Smart choice.

Voightlander make a few really nice affordable fast manual lenses. Notice at F4 and F5.6 cental quality exceeds the
resolving power of the D200. Yummy

I'm thinking real hard about buying one of these...I hate 50mm on a crop camera just wondering if 58mm would be enough to push it into the realm I like...

Tamron have just introduced a 60mm F2 macro lens.
An intresting alternative ! Fairly fast, good IQ and macro to boot !!!!
Its worth considering, even if not quite an F1.4

You know all of the modern Zeiss Ikon lenses except for two are made by Cosina...

The macro is interesting but I am interested in portrait snaps...for macro I am going to use a reverser or a 28/2.8 Ais...I really need something in the middle for my kit...then I can get a 85 and possibly retire the 105 and 135 to film only...so I end up at 28, 58, and 85 with a DX sensor that is pretty damn good....potent kit...

Yes when this lens came out the D200 was a heavy hitter F mount on the block...IMO the D200 still kicks harder than a mule with a bug up it's @ss...

Sometimes you just gotta ask yourself when is enough enough you know?
