Flash

Good morning. I took your suggestion and got the SB 700 flash. IT is quite bright. So it needs to be very dark to use it? I was thinking it would be good for some inside shots too. Is that correct? Should I be adjusting the exposure somewhere to use the flash to get a better shot?

Doesn't need to be dark. Depends on situation.
Eg if you're doing a portrait on a sunny day you use fill in flash to lighten face ...
