Stock of D800 in Hawaii or LA??

Hey all,

My brother is heading to Hawaii & then LA over Easter + another week from Australia.

Was hoping he could pick me up a D800 (with the AUS dollar being so strong), but is there stock? Which stores should he try?

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Just make sure that purchasing a D800 in the US won't give you problems with warranty and service once you are back in Australia. Nikon and Canon can be very protective of their geographical market, by that I'm referring to the importers of course.
Remember the D800 is a brand new model, so far so good, but it's a lot of electronics that have yet to pass the test of time.
Lenses are a different story I think. I would have no problem buying lenses in the US.

They have been on shelves in a few Best Buys, but gone within hours.
