San Diego after the Storm 3-19-12

CS5.1 Photoshop "Photomerge" is a great way of doing landscape when you have a DX camera and no ultra-wide lens. The key is to keep the aperture constant thru the span and if you have a zoom you also have to be sure to keep the focal length constant too.
This is a photo looking at San Diego from Coronado Island. On the far left you can see (barely) the USS Midway and on the far right is the ferry dock and straight on is the skyline. We had a strong winter storm that came thru over the last few days. This afternoon the storm broke and the last few clouds rolled thru.

Excellent Dave!, Nice job! Did you use a polarizing filter? The clouds are awesome!

Thanks Rick. No filters, this was how the city looked yesterady afternoon. It's a shame you can only see it as a small JPG, the full 16-bit image is really cool. In fact, here's a live webcam HERE that is only ~50ft from where I took this image.
