Male Lion Portrait

I must be getting lazy. I didn't feel like looking up the Exif data to post this shot in the critique section so I'm just showing it here. It's one of many taken of the big cats at the Portland, OR Zoo.

I really like this shot. Seems the lion was trying to see through the lens or was he just posing for you??? Composition and light are just right.

I thank you for covering my laziness. I have exif displaying software for my iMac & iPad but just didn't look it up. As a rule I normally use the 18-200mm lens at its 200mm focal length. The VR allows me to hand hold at slower shutter speeds.

Forgive the pun but I PRIDE myself in animals shots that seem to look right at you. LOL

Now you wouldn't be lion to us would you?

Oh yea. I really like that shot. If I can get out on a trip, I might have to try getting up to the National Zoo in DC
