Moto X day

Spent a few hours at an event recently with the 80-200/2.8 Dual ring, but i found the AF a little slow when quickly switching from one rider to another. Maybe the AF-S version would be faster ? None the less, i'm happy with most of the shots.

Pete, these are great shots! Nice and sharp and nicely composed. I don't think the AF-S would make any difference, as your D2X has the built in focus motor, making it a mute point. The camera focuses the lens, not the lens itself.

Thanks for the kind words and the info Jack

I was positive i read that the AF-S 80-200 was actually faster focusing than mine. But i wont waste money changing lenses if there's no benefit.

Perhaps a D3 is what i need

:) Should you ever decide to get yourself a D3, I'd be more than happy to take your D2X off your hands as a hand-me-down! ;) No charge, of course. :) I'll even pay for the shipping. :)
