Best External for Photo backup!

Ok, so I had the scare of a lifetime when my computer crashed...
Thankfully, hubby had recently backed up most of the comp to his external hard drive...
Got me thinking, is there a "best" external hard-drive for photos?
Hit me with your recommendations

I'd suggesting starting with this and also this thread.

Thanks for that- I learnt quite a bit from those posts... Including that in Australia we get way overcharged for external hard drives... A 2tb cheapy is >$200...

Ouch! Almost justifies the cost of a trip to the States to get one?
