mega pixels are less of an issue these days. easier accessability of camera functions, good glass and technique are more important.

People that *think* they know everything make me laugh. Like the reason they brought a D5100 over a D90 was because "it has more megapixels".

Lol, sounds like a proud D90 owner :)

For some of us there is allot more to that choice than just more MP's, but I know what you mean, more isn't always better. However, there is more to that sensor than just more MP's.

We do all happen to like what we own!

My D40 has 6.1MP. Takes great shots. I'm very happy with it. My D200 has 10.2MP, and it, too, takes great shots. I love 'em both. :)

Put a Ferrari Testarossa in the hands of an amateur and a Camaro in the hands of a pro and see who wins.

My moneys on the Camaro.

Same thing with cameras.

A D800E in the hands of an amateur is no match for a D70s in the hands of a pro. :)
