Hey everyone -

I'm looking for a Point and Shoot compact camera - what should I get?

Open to other brands if that is a better choice but obviously I enjoy Nikon's and would get that first....

Compact size - good zoom range - great images -- that's what I want :)

Price should not exceed $400 to fit in my budget.

Thanks - rick

I'm a huge fan of the Canon S series. My wife has a S95 and I use it a lot. Great glass, pocket friendly and able to shoot RAW. What's not to like?

I'm going to suggest a Canon, as they really do make a great P&S camera.

I'm with Eduard and fotojack....Canon makes exceptional p&s cameras. I own several Canon point and shoot cameras with the Canon S95 being my favourite. With the newer S100 out you could probably get the S95 for right around your budget.

I just recently bought a Nikon CoolPix S6200 and love mine. It was about $189 with a extra battery, hard shell case and a 8gb memory card from Best Buy.
