What You Lookin At?

There's a section of the local zoo known as Lorikeet Landing. It's unique because you get to go into the actual birdcage housing dozens of colorful Lorikeet parrots. They get to fly around you and have been known to land all over your body. I've had at least 5 on me at the same time. The folks running the environment sell tiny cups of nectar to feed the birds. If you get there early enough in the morning the birds are hungry and will mob you. You can just image how much fun that is for little kids.

#1 does it for me. Great capture.

Thank you Will. Birds are inherently curious creatures and much fun to photograph at point blank range. Sadly, I must add that the zoo's curators have decided to close Lorikeet Landing and use that space to enlarge the elephant habitat. I'll miss my little buddies in their environment.
