Remote Control

I have a Nikon D300S. I just bought a Shoot Remote Switch MC-30. In bulb mode in manual I tried to do a long exposure shot. When I press the shutter release button of the MC-30, it opens. But when I press it again to close the shutter nothing happens. Please HELP.

in bulb mode with your remote! if you just push the button it will open the shutter and close it straight away again!!!! to hold shutter open you have to push the button and push it forward while the button is pressed , towards the wire! and pull button towards you to close the shutter!
