Nikon MC-DC2 remote release questions

I've been looking online but can't find out if this remote supports continuous shooting mode and if it allows the auto focus to work with the D5100. Anyone have this? and willing to share the answers ?

my 3rd party switch looks similar. on my 3100 it does everything the shutter button would do.

Rick, I, too, have a remote for my D200. It cost me all of $5. Does the exact same thing the $175 Nikon remote does. Just sayin'.

$175 Wow! I think mine was $10. the metal tip fell off mine but still works, a little loose in the socket.

For the MC-DC2, the price here is around $40 Cdn. The price for the one that operates my D200 (MC-36) is around $175....if not more.
