Smoke

I just started taking these today. If anybody has taken these before and has any advice, I am willing to listen.

Here is another that I took yesterday.

I like both. What kind of settings were you using? Were you on a tripod? The reason I ask is because there is a hint of blur that I can see.

Thank you. Settings f8, iso 100, 1/250. Yes both pictures were taken from a tripod. The first one is just horrible, I realize that. The other one, I don't know if the blurriness came from that section being out of focus or what. I am looking for advice if you have any. Thanks again.

What lens were you using and what is the focal length?

Yeah, they both look pretty good to me, too. And like Damon said, just the slightest hint of out of focus. But...considering that you're focusing on smoke, I wouldn't write home about it. Nice job. Interesting colours and the mirror image is a cool effect.

Thank you everybody. Stangman98, I am using a 18-55mm Nikon lens. I don't remember the focal length, But I will find out and let you know.
