Halo around the Moon

The moon had a HUGE halo around it tonight at about 8:30 local time here in East Tennessee. I grabbed my camera and 18-70mm zoom to take this photo of it at 18mm. The exposure was 2 sec. It even captured the Orion belt (Lower right) and the Pleiades (Upper center right). A hint of "rainbow" effect is visible also!

Ah, I can't believe I missed it! :( If you look around I posted a shot of the last time this happened, probably around mid-January. It was so big and in the middle of the sky that I couldn't get any decent foreground and the ring took up the whole frame at 18mm. The thread I made also tells about the phenomena that causes this to happen.

Thanks! I'll look for your article! My two sons were outside talking (It has been that warm here!) and saw it. They came in and said "Dad, you've got to come out and see this!) so I grabbed my camera and tripod and got this photo! I've seen it several times in the past, but never when I had my camera with me.
