What if your camera could fly? The eye3

Here's an idea: Strap your camera to a mini helicopter (hexacopter) that you built and take aerial photographs remotely. Sounds complicated, but a small company is making it happen for a base price of $999. Their advanced kit even has a programmable autopilot (for an extra $500). I would love to build something like this. Think about how expensive the alternative is!

Initially, just by reading the title, I thought you pissed off your wife and she threw away your camera. (LOL!) That's how I visualize a camera that could fly.

Very interesting contraption. I wouldn't risk my camera and lens on that thing though unless you have insurance for your equipment. A "go pro" will be sufficient for this application which is good for video too.

You would have a UAV that took bald head portraits! haha

Eye-level - on the bright side, it has applications to take pictures of the opposite gender also.

haha! that's very possible.

The project has been pulled from the Kickstarter site now. It appears that the photos were taken from another site and the watermarking photoshopped out, as well as there being a suggestion of issues with delivery on another project from the same proposer. Luckily it was still in the pledging phase, so no-one loses out, especially as $78,000 had been pledged ($25,000 was the original target)!
