I realize that most people aren't interested in having an articulating viewfinder. My P/S cameras have them and it's a nice feature, but I find that I don't really need one for my D7000. BUT if you're ever in an odd situation where one would be helpful then maybe this could work for you. Since the LCD has a removable plastic cover I stuck a flip-bac mirror on a spare LCD cover and just keep it in the bag. If I'm ever in a pinch and need it I just swap the LCD cover with the flip-bac cover. I definitely don't leave it on because everyday use just gets in the way. The mirror actually folds down on the horizontal axis and left on the vertical axis.
