New topic, I will be shooting in a museum, and need to know about settings and tips for this. I am new so any help would be appreicated. Also how about shooting fireworks where you can't set up a tripod, due to the amount of people around the area?
I have a D3100.

Re: D3100 Tips and settings

I would think that for the museum and the fireworks, the tripod is kind of essential. You might be ok with a monopod in a museum with high iso, but for the fireworks I don't see how it could be well done without it. And don't forget that most people will stop moving around when the fireworks begin. Once your set up, they might just respect the tripod.
Maybe someone else has a different approach ?

Re: D3100 Tips and settings

With fireworks, most people are almost under them and that is not the greatest angle for capture. I would suggest moving to the very edge of the crowd as the closest, or even further away to get the angle you want. I prefer to be away from the crowd and elevated on a small knoll.
