Lunar Eclipse Dec 10, 2011

There will be a lunar eclipse this morning.

So far, it is crystal clear in the Pittsburgh area. Greatest eclipse will be about 9:30 am EST, hopefully the sky stays clear so some good shots can be obtained.

I'll be out there and hopfully can capture at least 1 good photo.

no one on the east coast will see it. BOOOO

My bad, can't see it on the east coast. Those in the west may have a good chance if they get up early enough.
And I wasted my time driving to high points to see nothing. Oh well, my own fault for not looking into it further.

I'd probably trip over myself if it were to be seen on Long Island.!!!

I was running late for a meeting this morning but grabbed my camera anyway and snapped a quick shot.
When I ran downstairs to get it the sky was still darker and the eclipse was only covering the top half of the moon. By time I got back upstairs is was already getting lighter out and the entire face was shadowed.
Missed opportunity.
