Batteries for D5100

Hi
Can I use compatible batteries in my battery pack ?
I got no manual or instructions with the battery pack

If you mean 3rd party batteries, the answer is yes, but they're not "chipped" like the Nikon batteries. They won't last as long, and they don't provide the in-camera information that the Nikons do, such as its lifecycle and power usage.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy cheap batteries. You're just begging for troubles down the road.
