D7000 Video Editing

Hi.

New owner of the D7000 and want to take advantage of 1080 HD.

Macbook Pro 15inch

I own FCP 5 which does not allow for the prores 422 codec.

Thinking about buying FCP X.

Any suggestions to getting around FCP 5 codec inability or should I get a new program to edit.

If you can get a hold of the FCP X prores 422 codec files I think you can use them in FCP 5 (drop them into main/Library/Quicktimes)
