From my front door - I have some learning to do, this was with the 200-500mm I didn't get great focus at all.

The shag first got a flounder and then a gurnard, the pelican flew past as I was watching the shag. I thought they were going to be OK, but when I saw them on the computer.......

A quite large leatherjacket (which have a quite large spike coming up from their head) down the gullet!

Was your VR on or off?

VR was on but the camera and lens were resting on a bean bag pillow on my porch railing.
