Hi From Liverpool...

Hi there everyone !

So, only recently upgraded from a bridge camera - now got myself D40 with the std 18-55 kit - so far really pleased. Came really close to getting a Pentax K5, but after watching one of the Strobist DVD's, the D40 was mentioned due to its high speed flash sync, and as they're going cheap on The Bay, I thought cant really go wrong.

About to purchase a couple of primes / flashes / remote triggers as well and get into this strobist malarchy !! Just cant wait.

Gonna see how I get on, and avoid the temptation to upgrade the body "just because"

Welcome aboard, teejay. I, too, have a D40. Great camera, you'll enjoy it. Get yourself a decent tripod.....an essential piece of kit for your camera.
