Tamron 18-270 - Nikon 55-200

Newbe here, I have a D3100 with the kit 18-55 lens. I found a refurbished 55-200mm 4.5 AF-S VR DX for $134. I also found a used Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD for $325. what would be the Pro & Cons....Thanks

Thanks Jack...Im leaning towards the Tamron......Little faster and I think Id like the 18mm vs the 55 end of the Nikon. Any recommendations on a Compatible flash Nikon and or Other brands more affordable ...Thanks for your advise....

Well, the Nikon model I'd pick (and have) is the SB-700. Awesome flash. The other I'd go for if price is an issue is the Yuongno (not sure of the spelling) Curt could tell you more about that one. Ask him about that one. :)

The Yongnuo YN-560 is an excellent, powerful, manual flash (no TTL). You may read some bad press about it but that was for an early model, the issues were resolved in the 2011 update (look out for the metal foot on the updated version). You can pick them up on eBay for £40/$60.
