Exposure value problem

i went out this morning and took some exposure pics for HDR but when i changed the EV and there was no change in the picture. got home and tried different things. the EV only works with the flash in use.

What mode were you in? I use A for HDR.

i have been using manual. but it quit working. so i did also try A mode and it does change the EV.

I checked the Reference Manual (p82 or 83), won't work in M mode. Apparently you need to have at either a dedicated aperture or shutter speed.

thanks. i thought for sure i used manual on my last picture. darn CRS anyway.

I would just stop up/down with shutter speed. No need to mess with EV.
