Help!! Sb-700 & Cactus V4

Hello,

I just purchased the SB-700. This is an upgrade from my SB-600. So far I love how easy it is to work and all of the extra features, but I can't seem to get my Cactus V4 to work to trigger the flash remotely. It was a breeze with the SB-600. I'm using this on my D90.

Would anyone have any words of wisdom for me?

How are you setting the channels on and cactus and the sb-700?

I'm matching the channels to the camera, flash & cactus. Which is why I don't understand why it's not working...

Is your SB-700 in Manual mode?

Yup, I tried that as well.

Perhaps this is a defective unit. Is there a return policy on it? Warranty issue? Maybe something to look into.

Figured it out!! Went back to manual and turned on all channels. Geesh!

Nice to see you got it figured out. When in doubt........RTFM, right? *hopefully you all know what RTFM means without my having to explain it.*

RTFM = Read The F***ing Manual

Ah I see. But I did in fact read the manual. Which tells me the exact opposite regarding the channels. Only to turn on the channel in use.

Ah, I see. Well, sometimes manuals don't always tell you what you want to know. It can be frustrating. Anyway......my response was meant to be a little humorous, and I'm glad you took it that way.....once you knew what it meant.
