It has a great Zoo and while you are there you need to shoot the skyline at night
March may be a little early for the botanical garden, but only a little.
Atlanta at night is a good suggestion, if you have a team of guards with you. Stay north of I-20.
There's some good sights along the Chattahoochee river north of town, silver comet trail, covered bridge...
Lots of National Park Recreation type areas on the northside as well, good hills and streams.
Not far north, Dahlonega, GA is a nice small college town with some sights in town and lots more nearby.
