Jumpy mirror problem with D3100

Have a fairly new D3100, and notice that when camera is turned on it clicks about 5-6 times, then after a picture is taken the mirror jumps.
Anyone having this problem, or any idea what's going on?

There is a technical term for what is happening.

Its BROKE!

Send it in now while its still under warranty.
