How can you win? Submit photos in four categories: Landscape, Action, Animal Portraits, andEnvironmental Issues. Entries are $15 per photo and there is no limit on the number of images you can enter. The deadline is November 4, 2016. By entering, you'll become a member of the National Geographic Your Shot photo community, a vibrant space for sharing pictures, getting expert feedback, and participating in National Geographic assignments.

Never got that far since I didn't sign up.

Most of the contests I enter have a fee, but it's for five photos, not each.

It's interesting because I've heard National Geographic won't accept any submissions unless the people have some type of photography degree which they verify. But this contest doesn't specify that type of info so it may be the only way NG will consider submissions from those without a formal photography education.

I gave up on entering photo contests when I couldn't even get Honorable Mention in a contest that I judged!!
