repair advice needed_broken memory card slot cover door on D610

Hi folks,
The memory card slot cover just cracked on my Nikon D610. Nikon says they don't sell the replacement part anymore. I found it on ebay. It looks like you take out a few screws and easily install a new one. But this is my nice $1600 camera body. If it were you, would you attempt this repair or would you send the camera off to Nikon?

I would bet your door is very similar to this one.

I am afraid it's not. When you have the screws removed, there is still one (I think) under the rubber grip. Grip has to be eased off on the D610. Good luck.

That post was from 2016... I'm guessing he resolved his issue a long time ago...
