disable live view?

How do I disable live view

Dont want it cannot use it

The reason why=?

Accidently, my buckle on the rucksack or more common the strap on thw dog harness,
knocks it, turns it on
And then -- I have a almost empty batttery for the next 12 hrs of mountain walk.

Pack away your camera more carefully..................?

...or keep your camera turned off until you're ready to use it.

5 hours i sunny mountain, then a sudden rainshower evolved to a major downflood that still is pouring rain;

You still have to put your hand on your camera to take the shot, yes? Which practically puts your thumb on top of the power switch...

Perhaps try an Easy Cover over your D7200. The buttons will still be accessible, but the Live View button won't stick out as far as it does without the cover. No guarantees, but it might eliminate the problem.
