Exposure Bracketing Please Explain

Hello, can someone please explain to me how the exposure bracketing works? Does the D5300 include the burst mode? Or do we just continue to press the shutter button consecutively three times to get the bracketing? TIA!

You should be able to set it on burst and it should take the three shots and quit. That is how it works on my D7100 and D750.

Just keep your finger on the button till it fires the three shots. Try it and see.
