raw and fine

When I shoot in raw plus jpg fine and download my photos to my computer I only seem able to view the fine photos. How do I get to the raw files? Camera is D3300. Paul

What software are you using to try and open the raw files.

Try Photoshop Elements 13 or 14

Nikons Capture NX-D will let you see both the NEF and the JPG files. View NX-i should too and both are free downloads from Nikon. I use NX-i for downloading from the SD card and NX-D to process the NEF (Raw) files. I don't generally use .jpg but have in the past without a problem.

If you install the Nikon codec (which comes with View NX installation) then you will be able to see the NEF files in the browser
