Battery grip FPS

I've heard that you can increase FPS to 7 with the Nikon grip, but is that only in DX crop, or Full Frame?

From DPReview:

  • Max 5fps shooting in FX mode, 7fps in DX (with battery grip + EN-EL18 / AA batteries)

From Nikon:

Capture 5 fps at full resolution and in 5:4 crop mode, 6 fps in 1:2 crop mode and 7 fps in DX-crop mode*.

*When using optional MB-D12 battery pack

Ah okay. Well that might be a deal breaker for me then. I was hoping to get the extra FPS in FX mode.

The 750 will give you a bit more FPS (1.5 frames to be exact) without sacrificing anything. Though, if you want an FX camera with lot's of FPS, you will want a D3 that does 9fps in full FX resolution. You can get a used D3 for about 1400. Obviously, you would want to be cautious about the shutter count; but with the money you save over a D810, you can put some money aside for any shutter replacement. Just my thoughts.

Hello, I would like to ask you about the Nikon D810 battery replacement. I want to buy it but don't know which are good. Or it's better to buy the original one?

Thank you
