Tamron 70-300 SP lens test...

My new Tamron 70-300 SD lens came today...Unfortunately I was only able to snap a few test pics. I damn near sliced the tip of a finger off today at work, and the meds the hospital gave me have me all loopy...I'm in no condition for RawTherapee or NXd right now lol...the all had the same settings in post...I cant wait to spend more quality time with this lens!!!

I know you didn't ask for a critique but the last 3 photos look underexposed to me. I see you do PP, are you shooting RAW?

Yea shooting raw. I didn't have time to do much post...have a ton of stuff to do today. These were just quickie shots and a crop.

Also it doesn't help that it's been cloudy and rainy since I got the lens.

Well I'm looking forward to seeing you photos! I think you have a great kit there.

There's a wetlands park here I'm gonna hit on my next day off..as long as it's sunny.

I'm trying to find its happy spot. The redhead bird pics are kind of noisey I think. I just want solid, sharp clear pics. Never really tried to shoot birds before....bees are easy lol

I have found with this lens that it sharpest from f/8 to f/11 and I tended to shoot nearer to 250/275mm asit gets softer at 300mm, my copy does anyway.
This is probably my best shot with this lens, I haven't looked at the exif yet before posting so it could prove what I've just written wrong!

I do notice a bit more sharpness with f8...
