D3300 Lens not attached

I dropped my D3300 yesterday. It did not fall far, and landed on the camera bag, so I did not think any damage was done. But now the camera cannot sense when a lens is attached. Help.

Have you tried a different lens? If another lens does not work, that is not a good sign. If you don't have another lens, take your lens off and check the mount for damage or cracks. The 18-55 and some of the other kit lenses have a plastic mount that might break more easily than expected.

Probably time to send it off to Nikon if another lens does not work either

My first Nikon was the D3100 and I dropped it and it hit the floor and exploded. That is when I started my upgrade path to get to where I am now.
