I would like to buy Rode Video Micro, but i saw that requires 3 Volts on mic input. I couldn't find how many Volts are on mic input, so i took my multimeter and i count 2.68 V. However, I don't know if the multimeter is reliable. Do you know if Rode Video Micro is working fine in Nikon D3300?

I want the mic for interviews. Do you have any other suggestions for cheap mic?

Please help me!!!

Yep, I have one and it works fine. You will need to run external batteries, it won't work with just the mic to the camera alone. It's recommended that you turn down the camera's microphone boost and use the Rode's +20db option. Hope this helps!

I think I've confused myself with the microphone. I'm using the VideoMic Pro, which is a different item. It runs on a 9V battery. The mic you're looking at isn't the VideoMic Pro, right?
