Can I take Pictures and Have a Video Feed? Nikon D800

Nikon D800


I am taking photos Not Video.
But can I take photos and also have a video feed go to a monitor just as a visual reference?
I am not recording the video.

A HDMI cable from camera to TV will transfer the image shown on the camera rear LCD to the HDTV (select that TV input of course to see it there). That LCD image can be the menu, or image playback, or Live View viewfinder ... anything normally showing on the camera rear LCD goes to TV. D800 manual page 256.

A HDMI cable will be HDTV, but any video cable with the three RCA connectors will only be standard def (not sure cameras still have that output?) If it is a video movie file, press the camera center button to make it play.
