D40 battery problem

I am unable to store more than twenty snaps in my D40 camera. In fact the battery is also losing its charge very rapidly. Please help.

It sounds like you need a new battery.

If you get a new battery you might prefer to get a third party battery grip. I bought an Opteka grip for my D40x which included two batteries that extended the longevity of the camera and does allow the use of AA betteries as well.

Handling is improved as an added bonus and it does have a vertical button but this is rather clunky in operation as uses IR.
