New to the forum with new d5500

Hi everyone,
Beginner new to photography and new using d5500. The last camera I'ved used was a Cannon AE1.
My problem with this new camera is what I have in the viewfinder does not show on the tough screen. But after i take a photo it comes up on the screen. This must be a setting problem I hope. Can anyone help.

Welcome to the forum,are you expecting to use it via the back screen most of the time,if so its possible but not the best way for most situations.

And if you do use the back screen, expect to recharge the battery much more often.

What type of phtots do you take with your Nikon AF-S DX VR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED, my camera came with a 18-140mm 1:35.5.6G ED and I got this lenses also. I don't know if I need this or should have gotten another type of lenses.
