Windows 10 Not Detecting D5300 USB

My computer does not detect my d5300 when I plug in my ubs cord. It did for the longest time and then just stopped. I went to device manager and it wasn't showing up there either. I tested all ubs drive and all claim to be working properly. Thoughts?

Have you tried a different USB cord? Personally, I haven't ever connected my D5300 directly to the computer, but other devices have been known to not like a particular cord.

You mentioned it doesn't show up in device manager. Just to be sure. Under USB Controllers are you seeing anything pop up in there (whether it's recognized or not)? I'm inclined to think if the computer doesn't see anything (camera, conflict or even just an unknown device) then it might be the device and not the computer. Can you connect to another computer to verify?
