A taste of our local winter scenery and wildlife. I do this trip for a week every year in early November.

Tree dandruff???

I checked the snowfall for my area recently. We have had 20 inches of snow. That is a total for the last 50 years. You can do the math. We did have 6 inches a few years ago and it stayed on the ground for about 3 days. Most of the snow we get is gone by 10 am.

Your photos are absolutely gorgeous. I can see why you go out every year to shoot.

did you get anything beside some nice pictures and a runny nose? (my nose leaks like a sieve in the cold)

No Moose this year, all the legal bulls we saw were on the wrong side of a very steep ravine so it would have been impossible to retrieve them. I did manage to reduce the local wolf population by one though. Wolves are a major problem in this area, preying heavily on the young moose and the Mountain Caribou.
