A using the FT-1 question

In the instructions it states mount the adapter on the lens first,i have been doing this but would like to have it on the V2 ready to fit the lens quickly when changing bodies,any one used it this way.

I've always had the mount on the camera, and just swap over the lens, no issues as yet.

I got mine second hand off ebay, never had any instructions, so I thought this was the right way.

I never had a problem either way. I often swapped my 70-200 f4 between the V2 and D610 leaving the F1 on the V2.

Thanks i want to have the body in the bag with the FT-1 fitted ready to do a quick body change with the D7200.

I've done both too. Haven't had any issues.

I guess they say to keep it on the lens just so that you think you need more than one and hence they get more sales
