To use MC Zenitar-M fish-eye lens 16mm F2.8 on my D750

I have an old MC Zenitar-M fish-eye lens 16mm F2.8 for my Minolta MD mount SLR film camera.
Now I would like to use this lens on my D750 DSLR camera for the fish eye effect. I bought the F mount adaptor but it didn’t work at all. I can’t focus (manual) sharp (blur all the times). I wonder what’s wrong.
Anyone tried this lens on a Nikon DSLR camera with good results? If yes, kindly let me know the mount & where I can buy it.

Sigma also makes a 15mm fisheye lens for Nikon--you might be able to find a good pre-owned copy.
